One has to wonder how the New York Mets will respond on a West Coast road trip, after all that's happening with Manager Willie Randolf and his future status as the Mets Skipper. They head out west after going 3-7 over their last 10 road games, and now they get to face an Angels team that is looking to turn things around after going 5-5 over their last 10 at home. The Angels will send Jered Weaver to the mound and are looking for continued success after winning 5 of his last 6 starts. He has been very good at home, having allowed 39 hits and 15 earned runs over 44 innings of work at home for the season. Opposing teams are hitting .236 against Weaver at Angel Stadium. Weaver will be opposed by Mike Pelfrey of the Mets. Pelfrey has pitched very well over his last 3 outings, but does not have a win over that span thanks to a blown save and very little run support. Despite good numbers of late, Pelfrey has struggled on the road this season, allowing 35 hits and 16 earned runs over 20 innings of work. Opposing teams are hitting .402 against Pelfrey when he has pitched on the road this season.
