San Diego forwards Gyno Pomare and Rob Jones must find a way to slow down Pepperdine's Malcolm Thomas. If they can contain Thomas, and limit leading scorer Tyrone Shelley(16 PPG), San Diego wins this game easily. Yea...I know it's easier said than done, but San Diego has won 5 straight in this matchup, and Pepperdine will be without Center Daniele Johnson who left the team for personal reasons on Feb. 1st. That should only make it harder defensively for a Pepperdine team that has allowed nine teams to shoot for over 50% against them on the season. San Diego has really buckled down on defense, holding 5 of its last 6 opponents to 61 points or less. I will take my chances with a San Diego team that has owned Pepperdine of late.
